イルカには、たびたび出くわすのだが、写真にうまくおさめることができたのは、これが初めて。多数のイルカの出現に大興奮する私を見て、ロブさんが、"Heave to" というテクニックを使って、帆で動いていたボートの進行を止めてくれた。イルカの呼吸音だけがボートの周辺に響く。息をひそめて、どこに出てくるか分からないイルカを夢中で探した。

We encountered a lot of dolphins on the way back to Bellingham! Rob hove to the winds and made our boat stop for me who got super excited! We could hear their breathing everywhere around our boat. That was the only sound we could hear. Can you imagine to be in that much silence? It was just an awesome feeling!
